| The Jacques Chicoineau Lecture is sponsored annually by the St. Louis/Lyon Sister Cities in honor and recognition of one of the organization’s charter members and its second president. Mr. Chicoineau, a distinguished member of the francophile community, served as an officer and board member of numerous charitable and civic associations in the St. Louis metropolitan area interested in the preservation and promotion of all things French. | |
| Held in the spring of the year, the lecture’s theme generally showcases aspects of French civilization. Most frequently, the topic centers on Lyons’ contributions to the history and cultural life of France and Franco-American relations. The lecture is free and open to the public. | |
