St. Louis-Lyon Sister Cities, Inc. is affiliated with STLPartnership through its relationship with the WTC St. Louis.
ONLYLYON is a group of public and private partnerships that facilitate the Lyon region's image, reputation and economic development efforts on the international stage. Communications campaigns, press relations, ambassador networks and digital strategy are all part of the tools that the initiative puts to use.
Likeness begets liking, and St. Louis and Lyon are both eager to welcome visitors and entice settlers. Each city takes pride in their rich history, cultural and educational institutions, love of sport and devotion to innovation.
Lyon is situated at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers within a large agricultural region and renown for its gastronomy and silk weaving heritage. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a major center for banking, chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and the international headquarters of Interpol, Euronews, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer. The city also boasts a significant video game industry, and fosters a growing start-up sector.
